O Henry was a prolific short story writer. He was born on September 11, 1862, in Greensboro, North Carolina. There he spent his childhood. His father Algernon Sydney Porter was a physician and his mother, Mary Jane Porter was a graduate of Greensboro female college. When William was there, his mother died, and he was raised by his paternal grandmother and aunt. William was an extremely bright child, but Public Schools were closed after the Civil War.
So, his aunt Evelina started a private school to teach William and other Greensboro children. His only formal education was received at the school. He attended school for a short time but developed a lifelong love of books. William left school at the age of 15 and then had several jobs including the position of a bank clerk. In 1887 he married Athol Estes. In 1896 he was accused of defalcation. He was sentenced to five years in jail. His sentence was shortened to 3 years and 3 months for good behavior.
While in prison he began writing short stories to support his young daughter Margaret. In 1899 he published his first story whistling dick’s Christmas stocking. He used a pseudonym, Oliver Henry, only once and changed his pen name to O. Henry. He married Sara Lindsay Coleman in 1907, But the marriage was not happy, and they separated a year later. O Henry’s last years via alcoholism, ill health, and financial problems. The great author breathed his last on June 5 1910 in New York.

Jimmy Valentine is released from prison after 3 months of imprisonment. Then he met his old friend Mike Dolan in his Bar and got his key to his room. from there he took out the switch case with the finest safe crackers tools. out of prison, he again starts cracking safes. This is brought to the notice of the famous detective, Ben price.
Jimmy goes to Elmore to steal the Elmore Bank. He met a young lady there and he reformed. He opens a shoe store in the name of Ralph D Spencer. Ralph is betrothed to the young lady, Annabel. one day he goes to Annabel’s father’s Bank. Annabel’s niece Agatha gets locked in the newly set Vault of Annabel’s father.
No man could unlock the door. Anabel urged Jimmy alias Ralph to open the door of the safe and bring out the girl from there. At that crucial moment, Ralph changed into Jimmy again and broke the safe within a few minutes.
Thus, Jimmy saved the life of the girl Agatha. Bin Price, the famous detective, observes everything and understands that Jimmy is reformed. when price does not arrest him, as if he does not recognize me and walks away.
